ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT !

It was established in the year 1992 as an optional subject – Physics, Mathematics and Electronics (PME) with one teaching staff and one attender. Over a period of 20 years the department has evolved with one Associate Professor 2 full time Assistant Professors and three Guest Faculty members and one non teaching staff. A new combination Electronics, Mathematics and Computer Science (EMCs) was started in the academic year 2008 – 09 with a strength of 36 students. Today the total student strength is 206. The department is committed to continually improve and deliver competitive quality education to the utmost satisfaction of students and the percentages of results are increasing year by year.40 first B.Sc. PME students are undergoing Add-on Certificate Course on “Computer Network Simulation”.

Challenges:

• To bring out brilliant graduates who will achieve great heights and bring glory to the institute and to the Nation.

• To expose the students to the world of Electronics by facilitating them to cater the present day industrial needs.

• Developing and adopting the methods for improvements in results.

• Encouraging the faculty to participate and conduct various activities in the department to continuously upgrade their knowledge.

• Encouraging the students to take active part in sports, cultural and extracurricular activities.
